I think that anyone that buys this thing based on the video will not be disappointed in the least. I may need to check one out one day, and may replace a Jets with it, mostly because of the larger loop function, reverb and stereo capabilities, and more saved settings. Cascading micro-loops can be locked into tight, tap-tempo synced rhythms, diffused into glacial ambient textures, woven into hypnotic drones, and much more. The best you can do is to save 2 settings, and have the controls set to a third one to switch over to, and hope the knobs don’t move too much. Microcosm is a granular effects pedal that rearranges and reinterprets your sound in new and exciting ways using a variety of sampling, pitch-shifting, delay, and looping techniques. The Jets does loops, but only of a certain size (threshold triggered or user triggered, poly or mono), no real reverb, and the fact that it’s mono and it only has 2 presets is kind of irritating, considering all the great, crazy shit that it’s capable of and the relative difficulty of dialing in settings. Maybe some different voicing and other effects as well. A control input makes it compatible with Expression pedal and other external controllers. It even offers three different types of modulation.

The Jets seems to do a lot of what this does, but there also seems to be more to it, with the loops, reverb, stereo capability and the additional memory presets. 140 - An ingenious Stereo Reverb + Delay + Modulation pedal that can run and let you control all three effects through clever alt knob fucntionality.

the reverb is actually one of my favorite things about it. looping is a breeze and the sounds are entire universes unto themselves. That thing is nice, and the new features are probably worth the extra price over the Infinite Jets. Saving presets isn't quite as easy as i thought it'd be, but it's doable. And you can quickly switch orderreverb into phaser into but crush and so on. Features include: 11 unique granular and looping effects with 44 preset variations, Stereo In/Out, Expression In mappable to many controls, MIDI, 60 sec. The Zoom CDR-70 and MS-100BT are good for a wide variety of both normal and weird effects. Hologram Microcosm A multi-mode granular looper/phrase looper/delay with added filter and reverb. You can tweak the sound further using Microcosm’s built-in pitch modulation, stereo reverb (with 4 selectable modes) and resonant lowpass filter. The effects let you slice, stretch, rearrange, and manipulate your audio in a variety of ways. The Hologram Infinite Jets is also cool but the Microcosm covers a lot of its functionality and more. The Microcosm offers 11 different effects and a looper that can capture up to 60 seconds of stereo audio. Although I’ve been scared to do it, I just looked at that video. The MIDI makes it perfect for synths ans e-drums. Microcosm has isn’t quite as rewarding in that specific use case as the Meris pedals though - the overall envelope isn’t as controllable as it is with Mercury7 or Polymoon (which to be honest are somewhat horrifically overpowered pedals, you can really shape how the attack and decay are going to come across) - Microcosm is less predictable.
